Psalms 80:8-16

8You removed a avine from Egypt;
You bdrove out the
Or Gentiles
nations and dplanted it.
9You ecleared the ground before it,
And it ftook deep root and filled the land.
10The mountains were covered with its shadow,
And
Or its boughs are like the cedars of God
the cedars of God with its hboughs.
11It was sending out its branches ito the sea
And its shoots to the River.
12Why have You jbroken down its
Or walls, fences
hedges,
So that all who pass that way pick its fruit?
13A boar from the forest leats it away
And whatever moves in the field feeds on it.

14O God of hosts, mturn again now, we beseech You;
nLook down from heaven and see, and take care of this vine,
15Even the
Or root
,
pshoot which Your right hand has planted,
And on the
Or figuratively: branch
son whom You have
Or secured
strengthened for Yourself.
16It is sburned with fire, it is cut down;
They perish at the trebuke of Your countenance.
